Rules of Conduct

In order to keep CONduit a safe and secure place to have fun, we ask your cooperation in following these guidelines. CONduit reserves the right to remove any person from the convention area for violation of these rules and guidelines, and to revoke any membership for any reason. By registering and accepting a CONduit participant badge, you agree to abide by these rules and guidelines:
  • Each attendee must wear his/her name badge on the front in a visible location above the waist at all times. Any person lacking a name badge for any reason will be immediately directed to the registration desk.
  • All weapons or weapon-like objects will be peace bonded or denied entrance at the discretion of CONduit Security personnel. Any person refusing or removing peace bonding, wielding a weapon or weapon-like object in an unsafe or irresponsible manner, or endangering the safety of other participants in any way may be removed from the con. Peace bonding is available by asking a member of Security and at the Security post by the Registration Desk.
  • Sleeping is not permitted in public CONduit rooms (Anime and Media Rooms, ConSuite, Gaming rooms, Panel rooms, etc.).
  • The Hotel has requested that you not bring outside food into public CONduit rooms (Anime and Media Rooms, Gaming rooms, Panel rooms, etc.) We ask that you respect the rules of the hotel. ConSuite food must remain in the ConSuite.
  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed in public CONduit rooms, and we ask that discretion be observed at parties in private rooms. All behavior must be in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Check with Ops personnel for correct placement procedures for flyers and posters. Flyers may be placed on any of the flyer/freebie tables located in the hallway between Registration and the main convention rooms (toward the pool). Incorrectly posted flyers and posters will be removed at the discretion of Ops personnel.
  • No cameras are allowed inside the Art Show or the Art Auction. Anyone taking pictures of the art will have their film confiscated and destroyed.
  • If you need First Aid at CONduit, please contact anyone in Security with a radio, or go to the Security Office. In the event of an emergency, please follow all directions given by CONduit Security, Ops personnel, or the staff of the Hotel.
  • If you have any problems or concerns relating to your enjoyment of the Con, please contact Ops, the Security Chief, or the ConChair.
  • Have fun! There's always something going on from Friday at Noon until about 6:00pm on Sunday. If you're not sure what to go to, try something new. You may find a new interest!
